Caliber Email for CRM and email agencies.

Short answer

Caliber Email is licensed per client brand, not per seat. Each client brand will have its own workspace, with its own voice guide, blocks and markets, so one client’s voice never reaches another client’s email. Drafts land in each client’s own ESP, and a named person approves every draft.

How does Caliber keep client brands apart?

Caliber will give each client brand its own workspace, and everything that makes the brand sound like itself will live inside it. Nothing in one workspace is read when Caliber drafts or checks an email for another.

A client brand’s workspace will hold:

  • The voice guide: the brand’s traits, tone for each kind of email, words it uses and words it never uses.
  • The blocks: the brand’s own approved email modules, from masthead to footer.
  • The markets: each market’s language, currency, legal line and local rules, such as the form of address.
  • The ESP connection: the client’s own ESP account, where that brand’s drafts land.
  • The briefs and drafts: the brand’s campaigns, with who approved which version.

Why does per-brand separation matter for an agency?

Per-brand separation matters because an agency sells each client its own voice. When one prompt or one shared library serves every client, habits travel: one client’s favourite word turns up in another client’s subject line.

Separation also answers the question every client asks: who else sees our briefs, products and prices? With one workspace per client brand, the answer is the people working on that brand.

How is Caliber priced for agencies?

Caliber is priced per client brand, and the tier follows how the client’s emails get signed off. The structure is the same for an agency as for a brand that runs Caliber itself; list prices are shared in your walkthrough.

The pricing structure, and what it means for an agency.
Rule What it means for an agency
A licence per client brand Each client brand is one licence, so the cost follows the client brands you run, not the size of your team
The sign-off sets the tier A client with one named approver sits on the first tier; a client whose emails pass a brand owner or approvers per market sits on the next. Markets are included, and adding one doesn’t change the tier
Unlimited seats Everyone who works on a brand can use it, so adding a writer or a reviewer costs nothing
Sends are never metered Volume stays with the client’s ESP; a bigger send does not change the licence
A paid implementation per brand Each client brand starts with an implementation that sets up its voice guide, blocks, markets and ESP connection

How do drafts reach each client’s ESP?

Each client brand connects to that client’s own ESP account, and its drafts land there, ready for review, under the client’s own sender, lists and consent.

Caliber has integrations with Klaviyo, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, Voyado, Customer.io and Iterable. Two clients on two different ESPs work the same way, because the ESP belongs to the brand, not to the agency.

What do two client brands look like side by side?

Two client brands in Caliber will be two separate workspaces that share nothing but the way they are set up. The example below uses two fictional demo brands: Holm Coffee, a roastery, and Nordbite, a burger chain.

Two client brands, two workspaces. Holm Coffee and Nordbite are fictional demo brands.
Holm Coffee Nordbite
The brand A Copenhagen roastery with three cafés and a subscription shop A Nordic burger chain with 140 restaurants
Voice Warm, plainspoken: “a café conversation, never a market stall” Bold, quick: “say it in the time it takes to order”
A writing rule Every origin story names the farm; never “artisanal” Lead with the price
Blocks Its own set, with a brew set and a farm story Its own set, with a menu grid and a meal deal
Markets DK, SE, DE; German readers get “du”, not “Sie” NO, FI
Legal line still open SE, waiting for counsel NO, waiting for counsel
ESP Klaviyo Braze

Price-first copy is right for Nordbite and wrong for Holm Coffee. In separate workspaces, each brand’s copy will be checked only against its own rules, so the one never drifts into the other.

Where Caliber stands

Caliber is being built now, for brands and for the agencies that run them. The integrations with Klaviyo, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, Voyado, Customer.io and Iterable are in place; workspaces per client brand, the check against each brand’s guide and the editions per market will follow.

Questions

Is Caliber priced per seat or per client brand?

Per client brand. Each client brand is one licence, and how its emails get signed off sets its tier; markets are included and added as the client needs them. Every tier has unlimited seats, sends are never metered, and every brand starts with a paid implementation. The tiers are on the pricing page.

Can one client’s voice end up in another client’s email?

That is what the separation is for. Each client brand will have its own workspace, with its own voice guide, blocks and markets, and a draft for one brand will be written and checked against that brand’s guide only. One client’s briefs, products and prices stay in that client’s workspace.
