A second pair of hands that already knows your brand.

Short answer

Caliber Email is email production software for the person who owns the email calendar, alone or with one or two others. Approve a brief, and Caliber will build a finished email in your brand from your own blocks and put it in your ESP as a draft. A named person signs it off.

An approved Holm Coffee brief becomes an email built from six of the brand’s blocks, then a draft in the ESP, waiting for sign-off.

01 / The rework

Where does the time go between an approved idea and a sent email?

The time goes into the rework after the idea is approved, not into the first draft. A first draft is easy to get now; turning it into an email someone can sign off still fills the week.

  1. On brand

Making the draft look and sound like the brand, line by line.

  2. Legal line and links

Getting the legal line, the links and the UTM tags right.

  3. Outlook and phone

Checking that it holds up in Outlook and on a phone.

  4. Into the ESP

Rebuilding it in the ESP, or fixing what the export broke.

  5. A name on it

Waiting for a name on it, from the founder, the Head of E-commerce or the agency.

Every round goes through the same person. When production fills the week, segmentation, testing and reading the results wait.

02 / What Caliber will do

What will Caliber do for you?

Caliber will do the production work between your approved brief and a draft you can sign off. It starts from what your brand already has, its guide, its blocks and its past emails, so it knows the brand before the first brief arrives.

  1. You approve a brief.

The email brief template has the fields a brief needs.

  2. Written in your voice.

Caliber will write the copy in your brand’s voice, from your own rules. Words your brand never uses never reach the draft.

  3. Built from your blocks, production-ready.

The email will be built from your own approved blocks, with links, UTM tags, alt text, the lines the brief says must appear and your legal line in place.

  4. Signed off.

A named person approves one version, with a score that shows its work.

  5. A draft in your ESP.

It will put the email in your ESP as a draft.

The brand knowledge stays in-house.

Your guide, blocks and rules will be held as data in your brand’s own workspace, so the brand knowledge stays in-house when a freelancer moves on.

It will start from the emails you already send: each one rebuilt from your blocks and set beside the original, so you can see your own email before the first brief. Your emails, 1:1. Then better.

If the guide is thin, the brand voice guide template lists what to write down.

03 / What stays yours

What stays yours?

The calendar and the sign-off stay yours. Caliber is built to take on the production, not the decisions.

  • The calendar.

You decide what goes out, and when.

  • The brief.

Caliber will work from the brief you approved, not from its own idea of the campaign.

  • The sign-off.

A named person will approve each email, on one version, with the time. Nobody will be able to approve work they edited.

  • The judgement.

What goes out is your call. Caliber never approves an email, and it will never block one on its own.

04 / Pricing

How is Caliber priced, and what is it set against?

Caliber Email is priced per brand, not per seat. Its price is set against what a retainer or a freelancer costs you, not against AI credits: the production you pay for help with today.

  • Per brand, not per seat

One licence covers your brand, however many people touch its emails.

  • Capability sets the tier

Core includes one market, the score, drafts in your ESP and a named sign-off. A market added later never changes the tier.

  • Unlimited seats

Your approver, your freelancer and your agency’s designer can all work in it, and adding them costs nothing.

  • Sends are never metered

A bigger list or a busier month does not change the licence.

  • A paid implementation

Every brand starts with one, and it is always paid. For the Production tier, the six-week pilot is that implementation.

List prices are shared on the walkthrough, and the tiers side by side are on the pricing page. To see what production costs you today, the production cost calculator works it out from your own hours, rates and agency fees.

05 / Worth it for

Who is Caliber worth it for?

Caliber is worth it for brands that already pay for design or production help: an agency retainer, a freelance designer, or a developer who builds the emails.

Worth it for

  • Brands that already pay for design or production help. The comparison is money that already goes out every month, and the brand knowledge stays with the brand.
  • The moment to look is usually when something changes: the retainer comes up for renewal, or the number of sends doubles and the quality starts to slip.

Probably not worth it for

  • A brand that pays nobody for help, and whose emails are a first draft from the ESP plus an hour of its own editing.
  • If that works, keep it. Caliber is likely to cost more than it saves there.

06 / Questions

Questions

We already have Klaviyo Composer. Why another tool?

Klaviyo Composer gives you a first draft, and for a first draft it is fine. Caliber is built to give you the finished email: written in your voice from your own rules, built from your own blocks with your legal lines in place, and waiting in your ESP for a named person to sign off. A team can use both.

Do we need a designer or a developer to set it up?

No. The implementation will turn the email blocks you use today into approved modules, so nothing has to be redesigned first. Your own admin sets up the ESP connection.

Can the person who builds the email also approve it?

No. Nobody will be able to approve work they edited, so the email you built will go to someone else who answers for the brand, such as the founder or the Head of E-commerce. Every tier has unlimited seats, so adding that approver costs nothing.

Does Caliber train a model on our emails?

No. Calibration configures your workspace; it doesn’t train or fine-tune a model on your content. Your past emails are used to set up your brand profile and to calibrate Caliber’s reading of your brand with your own, inside your workspace only.
