Finished emails, waiting in Klaviyo.

Short answer

Caliber Email integrates with Klaviyo and Braze. Approve a brief, and Caliber will write the email in your voice, from your own rules, build it from your own blocks with your legal lines in place, and leave it in Klaviyo as a draft campaign. A named person signs it off.

Integrations: Klaviyo · Braze · Salesforce MC Next · Voyado · Customer.io · Iterable

An approved Holm Coffee brief becomes an email built from six of the brand’s blocks, then a draft in the ESP, waiting for sign-off.

01 / What will arrive

What will arrive in your Klaviyo account?

A draft campaign, not a file. Your team will not download HTML and upload it to Klaviyo by hand.

  • Draft campaign

Caliber will create the campaign in your account through Klaviyo’s own API, one draft per market edition, with its template, subject line, preview text, sender and the audience you chose already set.

  • The approved version

The template will carry exactly the version your approver signed off. If anything changed after the sign-off, Caliber will refuse to create the draft until it is approved again.

  • Flow emails as templates

An email for a flow will arrive as a template, which your team places in the flow. Copy HTML and Download will stay available for anyone who wants the code.

A changed email will make a new draft instead of overwriting the old one, so edits your team made in Klaviyo stay as they are.

A second push of an unchanged email will ask before it makes a duplicate.

02 / How Caliber will learn

How will Caliber learn the way you build in Klaviyo?

From the account you already have. With one connection, Caliber will read how your brand builds email today: your sent campaigns, the sections of your templates, the universal content they reuse, your brand defaults for buttons and logos, and your image library.

  • Your blocks

Those become your blocks in Caliber, so a new email is made from the parts your team already approved, not from a generic set.

  • Universal content

Klaviyo pushes an edit to a universal block into every linked copy, scheduled campaigns and live flows included [1]. Caliber will record which universal blocks your emails use, such as the footer, so the rebuilt blocks match the ones you already signed off.

  • Products and images

Caliber will search your Klaviyo catalog for the product, link and packshot, and never take a price from it. Images will be uploaded to your Klaviyo image library, and Caliber will keep no copy.

03 / Composer

Composer, and where Caliber fits

Composer

Klaviyo describes Composer as a marketing agent built into Klaviyo: you describe a task in a conversation, and it analyses your data, audits existing work or drafts a campaign, a flow or a segment for you to review. Klaviyo says it sends nothing without your sign-off [2].

Caliber

Composer gives you a first draft quickly, and for a draft it is fine. Caliber is for the step after the draft: the finished email, written in your voice from your own rules, built from your blocks with your legal lines and links in place, with a score that shows its work, and signed off by a named person.

The two can work side by side.

Caliber will use AI to write the copy. The method is your brand’s own rules, and the sign-off around them.

04 / As Klaviyo drafts

What a brief looks like as Klaviyo drafts

Holm Coffee is a fictional demo brand, and its fixture sends from Klaviyo to three markets: Denmark, Sweden and Germany.

One approved autumn brief would become three draft campaigns in its Klaviyo account, each named with its market, each with its own language, currency and legal line, and each with its own approver’s name on the sign-off.

For the details of languages and currencies inside Klaviyo, read how Klaviyo handles several languages, and for the case for one brief per market, one brief, every market finished.

One Holm Coffee brief becomes three editions, DK, SE and DE, each in its own language and currency; the Swedish one is held until its legal line is confirmed.

Selling to several markets is a capability, not a requirement: a brand that sends in one market gets one draft.

05 / Questions

Questions

Can we use Caliber and Composer in the same Klaviyo account?

Yes. Caliber will create drafts through its own connection and change nothing Composer made. Each tool’s drafts sit in your account until your team reviews and sends them.

How will our Klaviyo key be kept?

Only an owner of your brand in Caliber can connect Klaviyo. The key will be stored encrypted and sealed to your brand, never shown again after you connect it, and never written to a log or an error message.

What do we still do in Klaviyo?

Everything that sends. Your team opens each draft, sends a test, sets the send time and sends it, or places a flow email in its flow and switches the flow on.
