Integrations: the draft lands in your own ESP.
Caliber Email integrates with Klaviyo, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, Voyado, Customer.io and Iterable. Each approved edition goes to the team’s own ESP as a draft, or for Voyado, which can’t receive drafts by API, as a hand-off package.
Which email platforms does Caliber Email integrate with?
Caliber Email integrates with six ESPs. Each page below is a practitioner guide to how that ESP handles email in several languages and markets today, checked against the ESP’s own documentation, followed by what Caliber does there.
How does each ESP handle several languages?
All six can send one email in several languages, but they decide each recipient’s language differently, and none of them treats a market as more than a language. Prices, offers and legal lines that differ by country still need their own setup in every one of them.
| ESP | How several languages work | Who translates | A recipient with no matching language | Shared footers and legal lines |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Klaviyo | Smart Translations makes one campaign in several languages, chosen by each profile’s language (paid plans) | Machine translation inside Klaviyo, for review | Gets the default language | Universal content blocks |
| Braze | Locales: copy wrapped in translation tags, one message for every locale | Your team or a partner (Lokalise, Smartling, Phrase) by CSV or API; Braze writes none | Plan a fallback language | Content Blocks |
| Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next | Languages added per marketing workspace; language variants of one email | In Email Builder or through XLIFF files to an agency | Not documented in the pages we could check; test it | Language-specific headers and footers |
| Voyado | Marketing groups (country, optional language, price format, time zone, product feed), each with its own variant in Design Studio | Bonnie, on the Extended AI add-on, or your team | Falls into the Default marketing group | Synced modules |
| Customer.io | A Default message plus a language variant per language, matched exactly on the language attribute | Optional AI translation, or your team | Gets the Default message | Snippets and Liquid |
| Iterable | Locales: a template version per locale, matched on the profile’s locale field | Your team or a partner (Lokalise, Crowdin, Smartling); Iterable translates nothing | Blank gets the default; a mismatch gets the default or is skipped, as the project is set | Snippets |
The sources for each row are on that ESP’s page, with the date each was checked.
What does every Caliber integration do?
Every integration does the same job: it puts each approved edition into the team’s ESP as a draft (for Voyado, a hand-off package), built from the brand’s own blocks, so the ESP stays where campaigns are scheduled, sent and measured.
- A draft per market. Each market’s edition arrives as a draft in the ESP, for the team to open and check.
- One brand, every ESP. The brand’s voice guide, rules and blocks stay the same whichever ESP the drafts go to.
- A named person approves. A score informs the decision; it never approves an email on its own.
Caliber Email will also be reachable from Claude and ChatGPT, through its own MCP server, with the same rules and the same sign-off. That is planned, not available yet: MCP for Claude and ChatGPT.
Questions
Does Caliber Email replace our ESP?
No. Caliber Email prepares the emails; your ESP still holds your contacts, segments, flows and reporting, and it is where campaigns are scheduled and sent. Caliber puts each approved edition into the ESP as a draft, so nothing about how your team sends or measures email has to change.
Can one brand use more than one ESP?
Tell us when you sign up. The brand’s voice guide, rules and blocks live in Caliber, not in the ESP, so they stay the same whichever ESP a draft goes to. Agencies with clients on different ESPs work the same way, one workspace per client brand.
Our ESP isn’t on the list. What then?
Tell us which one when you sign up for early access. The six above are the integrations Caliber Email has today, and the ESPs teams name on sign-up decide which come next.
