One brief. Every market, finished.

Finished emails. In your brand. In your ESP. In every market you send to.

Short answer

Caliber Email is built so that one approved brief becomes a finished email for every market a brand sends to: its language and form of address, its currency, and the legal line counsel approved, as a draft in the team’s ESP, such as Klaviyo or Braze. A named person signs off each market.

Integrations: Klaviyo · Braze · Salesforce MC Next · Voyado · Customer.io · Iterable

One Holm Coffee brief fans out to three emails, DK, SE and DE, in DKK, SEK and EUR. Denmark and Germany are ready for their approvers; Sweden is held until its legal line is confirmed.

01 / Every market

What does a finished email in every market mean?

It means each market gets an email someone can sign off, not a translation someone still has to fix. The idea, the offer and the layout come from the one approved brief. What changes per market is what a reviewer would otherwise catch by hand.

For each market, Caliber will:

  • Language

Write the copy in that market’s language, in your brand’s voice and with the form of address your brand uses there.

  • Currency

Set prices in that market’s currency, written the way your style rules say.

  • Legal line

Put that market’s legal line in place, the one your counsel approved, and hold the email if the line is missing or not yet confirmed.

  • Links

Put the links to that market’s storefront in place.

  • Blocks

Build it from your own blocks, the same ones in every market, so each edition looks like the brand.

  • Brand guide

Write it from your brand guide’s rules, the same ones in every market.

What changes from market to market, and why translation alone misses it, is set out in the guide to email localization.

02 / One brief, three markets

What does one brief look like in three markets?

The Guji harvest launch: one brief, three market drafts. Holm Coffee is a fictional demo brand; the values are illustrations.

The Swedish draft shows what “finished” has to mean: without a confirmed legal line it is not an email anyone should sign off, so it will wait. The other two markets will not wait for it.

Three editions of the Guji harvest launch side by side, Danish, Swedish and German, each with its own headline, copy and prices in the same blocks.

03 / Sign-off

Who signs off each market?

A named person per market. That person knows the market, reads its draft and approves it. The score and the findings inform the decision; they never make it.

Each market, a draft in your ESP.

Each draft will arrive in your ESP, market by market, ready for your team the way it works today.

The legal line for each market comes from your counsel; Caliber never writes one.

A sign-off record: approved by the Head of E-commerce on version 3, with the score and findings seen; behind it, an edited copy sent back to draft.

04 / ESPs

Which ESPs does it work with?

Caliber Email has integrations with Klaviyo, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, Voyado, Customer.io and Iterable.

  • Klaviyo
  • Braze
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next
  • Voyado
  • Customer.io
  • Iterable

Each of them handles several languages its own way, from language variants of one email to locales and translation tags, and none of them treats a market as more than a language. The integrations hub has a table of how each one does it.

05 / Tiers

How do the tiers work?

Caliber is licensed per brand, not per seat. The tier follows how your emails get made and signed off, and every tier includes markets; more are added one at a time without changing the tier.

The licence tiers, per brand.

Every tier has the score, drafts in your ESP and a named sign-off. Every tier has unlimited seats, so every market’s approver works in it, and sends are never metered.

Three licence tiers as a stack: Core has the score, ESP drafts and a named sign-off; Production adds an approval step, Journeys and a second ESP; Scale adds SSO, audit-log export and several brands. 1, 4 and 10 markets included, each further market added on the same tier. Per brand, unlimited seats, sends never metered.

  • Implementation, per brand.

Every brand starts with a paid implementation that sets up its brand, its markets and its ESP. For the Production tier, that is the six-week pilot.

  • Extra markets.

A market beyond those a tier includes is added one at a time, and never changes the tier. The tiers side by side are on the pricing page.

  • Agencies.

Agencies license per client brand, on the same tiers.

Prices are shared on the walkthrough.

06 / Before the first brief

What should you prepare before the first brief?

Three things make the first brief for several markets go faster, and none of them needs Caliber.

  1. A brief with a section for each market.

Like the one in the email brief template.

  2. The legal line counsel approved for each market.

And the name of each market’s approver.

  3. The per-market checks your team already runs, written down.

The email QA checklist has a section for every market you send to.

07 / Questions

Questions

Is Caliber a translation tool?

No. Caliber will write each market’s email in the brand’s voice, from the approved brief, with that market’s currency, legal line, links and form of address. A translation is one step of that. The product is the finished draft a market’s approver can sign off.

We send in one market today. Which tier fits?

The tier follows how your emails get made and signed off, not how many markets you send to. Core includes one market, the score, ESP drafts and a named sign-off. If your emails pass a brand owner or several approvers, Production adds that approval step. A new market is added when it comes, without changing the tier.

Does Caliber write our legal lines?

No. Each market’s legal line comes from your counsel. Caliber will put it in place in the email. A market whose line is missing or not yet confirmed will be held, and the other markets go ahead.

Can each market have its own approver?

Yes. Every tier has a named sign-off, and the approval step on Production and Scale gives each market its own approver. Every tier has unlimited seats, so no approver needs a seat of their own.
